4 Vintage Advertisements and 1918 NY Tribune Article on "Cereals". Condition is "Used". Are Cereals still the most affordable foods offered??? These advertisements for various cereal products dating from the 1920's and 1930's certainly presented that argument. The Quaker Oats and Wheatena advertisements are undated and measure approximately 10 x 13.5 inches. See photos for the uneven edges of these ads which cut slightly into the text. The stunning Shredded Wheat ad is from October 1928 and measures approximately 10.5 x 13.5 inches. There is a 2.5 inch tear on the edge of the ad, see photo. The Ralston ad is from a newspaper and the paper is fragile. It measures approximately 11 x 16 inches and dates from September 1931. I have included a small section of the New York Tribune from Oct 13, 1918 because it related how homemakers on a budget could incorporate cereals into their meal plans....Still a timely topic! Shipped with USPS First Class Mail.
