Antique 1930's Caille Brothers Silent Sphinx 25 Cent Slot Machine
The Caille Brothers' Silent Sphinx slot machine was innovative for its time because it was significantly quieter than other slot machines. It features a Cleopatra motif, illustrating the influence of Hollywood during its "Golden Age". The 1934 film Cleopatra was released about the time Caille Brothers manufactured the Silent Sphinx.
This is a harder to find 25 cent model. Most of machines at that time were 5 cent or 10 cent machines. It
