Antique Independence Hall Glass BANK Candy Container 1876 Exhibition

Description

For your consideration is this antique Independence Hall Glass BANK Candy Container.  This clear, pressed glass container was made for the 1876 Philadelphian Centennial Exhibition.  This souvenir of the time was originally filled with candy and is a bank.  The secure tin base, which has a green felt bottom slips easily on and off.  The bank measures 7 3/16" high with a base of 3 1/2" by 4 7/8" approximately.  There is a coin slot in the roof.  Please refer to all the photos to see the condition.  The last few photos show the bottom of the base where the corners have worn away slightly.  If more photos are needed or answers to questions please ask.  This will be wrapped and sent with the greatest of care.
