This very rare piece has survived for many years. About 3 3/4" inches tall.
The Olmec heads are stone representations of human heads sculpted from basalt boulders in various sizes. The heads date from at least 900 BC and are a distinctive feature of the Olmec civilization of ancient Mesoamerica
