Antique Set of Boleaderos Bolas w/ Braided Rawhide - Ancient Throwing Weapon

This is an awesome set of Bolas (Boleadoras) - an ancient throwing weapon from Latin America.
It consists of three hand-braided rawhide ropes. To the ends are attached weights (sometimes stones or wooden balls) of various sizes, covered by leather or bull scrotum. Thrown around an animal’s legs to bring it down, they were used horseback by highly skilled gauchos, hunting running cattle or game
This set of Boleadoras came from the estate of a Western Movie Stuntman. I believe they are very old. Two of the rawhide ropes are still intact, and one is in two pieces.
I have not patched or repaired it. Selling this set AS IS.
