Description
Often missing from Mills slot machines is the upper flap inside the jackpot. Finally, a reproduction is available. What it does is divert coins one by one to fill the reserve jackpot, and when that's full, the coins will continue to stack on top of it. When a few coins accumulate, the weight of them will cause this flap to swing down and drop the coins into the main jackpot and the cashbox. This part installs in the top of the Mills jackpot, not to be confused with either the reserve door or the main jackpot door, or the load door for the main jackpot. The orange arrow in the last photo shows the location of this part installed in a jackpot.
The axle shaft required for this is the same part as used on the load door for the main jackpot, right below it. It's not difficult to fabricate if needed. It will also require a lightweight spring to attach to the hook on the corner of this part.
This fits most 1930s, '40s and early '50s Mills machines.
I have other antique slot machine parts available, (mostly original), so please see my other listings for those, as well as new glass, locks and more.
I have been selling antique slot machines and parts for over 50 years. Thank you.
