    Description

Aristocrat(?) Penny Arcade Themed Coin Operated Penny Slot Machine:
Make sure you check out my other auctions!  I am always happy to combine  purchases to the extent possible to try and save you some money on shipping.
This WAS a fully working penny slot machine!  It has been sitting idle in one of our game rooms for a few years (shame on me…) and at this time, something seems to be stuck inside, not allowing the handle to be pulled.  Although I have NO mechanical skills, in looking inside, it doesn’t look like there is a coin jammed, but most times, when inserting a penny, it slides directly down through and into the coin box.  But when it does “catch,” the handle is only allowed to pull just enough to release the penny from the coin mechanism, but the handle won’t pull down all the way to the bottom to spin the reels.  So, there you have it, you now know as much as I do, but I’m sure you know immediately what the issue is, but I don’t…  So, I am selling this machine as-is.  When we acquired it a few years ago, it was fully working but as I said, it has been sitting idle for a few years so you will need to trouble shoot the issues that I described prior to having a fully working machine.  I have to guess it is something minor and easy to find for someone who knows what they are looking for but for me, not so much!  I believe this was manufactured by Aristocrat, based on its similar styling to other similar period Aristocrat machines, but I can’t find a manufacturer’s label or name anywhere.  This is a single penny play machine, definitely dating it!  Payouts are made according to the listings near the top, below the coin entry slot.  Payouts vary from two to ten coins.  When you win, your winnings, in the form of pennies, are dropped into the metal bin at the bottom.  To spin the reels, you pull the handle on the right side of the machine, but as I mentioned, there is currently an issue with its play that will need to be resolved prior to playing a game.  It looks like this machine has an amateur restoration done prior to us acquiring it.  The case appears to be cast iron while the back is metal and the sides and bottom are wood.  The case and back look like they have been painted and show pretty well, with some small scratches.  The side wood looks like veneer while the bottom is plywood.  The stainless steel and chrome accent pieces are in fairly nice shape with some surface rust and minor pitting on the pull handle, but nothing horrible.  Inside, it looks to be complete and is well greased/oiled!  It measures 26” tall, 16.75” wide to the outside of the handle, and 16” deep.  It is also pretty heavy since it is an actual industrial slot machine!  The front graphics appear to be printed on thin transparent plastic panels.  I’m not sure if they are original or if the restorer changed the design during his restoration, but they look pretty nice with excellent graphics of a bumper car race in the lower portion.  And tied to that theme, which is VERY cool and the real reason we purchased this specific machine, is that some of the payouts are also tied to bumper cars!  Although there are the normal bells, plums, oranges, and cherries, there are also bumper car symbols that make payouts!  Pretty cool!  And the bumper cars are shown on the reel strips, so maybe this is original.  There are keys for the bottom cabinet lock and lower payout panel lock below it.  Even though you may see some pennies in the original coin tray at the bottom, those will NOT be included with the machine!  You will need to supply your own pennies!  This WAS fully working until it has been sitting idle in our home for a few years.  I don’t think it should take much to resolve the issues that I describe but I am not the guy to figure that out, so please realize you will need to resolve those prior to playing a full and correct game.  This machine is in pretty nice shape and displays well.  It will make a great addition to any game room or collection and will give you a LOT of enjoyment (once you troubleshoot its current issues!)  And maybe best of all, you won’t be losing your money to a corporate casino!  Once you lose all your money, unlock and open the cabinet and grab your pennies back so you can keep playing!  It doesn’t get any easier or better than that!
Due to the laws regulating the sale of antique slot machines, I will not be able to sell this machine to residents of Alabama, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nebraska, South Carolina, and Tennessee.  Bids from those who reside in any of these states will be canceled.
Payment for the machine is to be received within seven days of the end of the auction.
Credit cards are accepted through Paypal.  Provided it is paid for at the end of the auction, I can safely hold the machine for as long as you need so you can make arrangements to either pick it up or have it shipped.  If picked up, ONLY cash will be accepted, or a Paypal payment must be made prior to pickup.  Whatever pickup/shipping method works best for you, I'll try to accommodate your needs, but payment is still to be received within seven days of the end of the auction.
If you need shipping, I would recommend you contact Michelle Bianchi, Beltmann Agent, at

When shipping multiple machines, the "per machine" cost is SIGNIFICANTLY reduced, so make sure you look at my other auctions and/or ask me what other machines I have available right now!
In rough numbers it generally costs about 0-375 in total to ship a single machine to the east coast from here and about 0-425 to the west coast.  I have also worked with a few other shipping companies and can help steer you in the right direction.  My preference is to work with a company that provides door to door service which handles all of the wrapping, loading, and hauling.  Although I am not able to crate or palletize the machine myself, I can help to arrange for outside crating and international shipping, with you paying all of the associated costs.
