Breyer Horse Model - Roy the Belgian
This auction is for a liver chestnut Roy the Belgian, with a blaze, lighter chestnut mane & tail, and great overall body shading.  The only issue I see is an ear tip rub on his left ear - I do not see any other flaws on this model; however, I may miss something so please ask if you have any questions or would like additional photos of any particular area.
Breyer mold #455, model #497092, and produced in 1992 for the Sears Holiday catalog; limited run of 2,250.
I met Kathleen Maestas in 2003, and she has shared a lot of the model horse hobby history with me over the subsequent years. Many long-time collectors know Kathleen, as she was one of the premier artists customizing Breyer model horses in the late 1970s through the mid-1980s, selling her customized models under the Double Diamond Ranch name.  I am honored that she has asked me to assist her in liquidating a few models from her vast collection.  These are models that she collected for herself, not for customization.
