Caithness Paperweight VISITATION 60 of 100 1997 NEW Magnum Spectacular!
Aptly titled Visitation paperweight is number 60 of 100 in a limited edition that closed at 61 pieces.  It was made in 1997 and designed by Colin Terris.  It's stamped on the bottom and the edition number is etched on the bottom as well.
You loved the colors....teal, fuscia and amber.  A bubble is suspended in the center with a frosty canopy above and a moonscape below.  It's fascinating to view from every angle.
A Caithness magnum style is 115
cm (4 1/2") across.  This is a "flattened" sphere:  round from the front and back views, but narrow from the sides.  Please refer to the photos. The front has a smooth, flat cut that is
round
, a picture window to view the scene inside.  The bottom is oval.
We sold lots of Caithness at Ann's Fine Gifts in Houston, TX in our 40 years in business.  This is an authentic Caithness paperweight purchased from the company in 2004.  It weighs 3 pounds.  We listed it at the original price shown in the Caithness book 5.
Our paperweights were on display in locked, glass Caithness cases.  Their bottoms may have tiny marks from being taken in and out of the cases, normal wear over the long life of a paperweight, please see photos.
