A disc washer machine is certainly the best investment that a disc collector can make.
The use of the machine is very simple.
The disc is immersed in the LIQUIDO which dissolves the impurities and the fat deposited in the sulcus.
Two opposite brushes contribute to the washing operation by holding and cleaning the furrows.
At the end of the washing operation, the disc is placed to drain on a disc-drain supplied.
Finally the LIQUIDO is filtered and recovered for future washing (filters and funnel SONO also supplied).
The machine is equipped with a liter of LIQUIDO which is normally sufficient for washing about 150-200 discs.
Usage Notes:
The effectiveness of this machine is truly guaranteed thanks to the "soaking" system which allows all the incrustations to be dissolved from the furrows.
Certainly its effectiveness is commensurate with the "soaking" time and the number of rotations. If you have a little patience you can try to leave the discs (at least the ones you care about most) for several minutes, turning it from time to time.
It is therefore recommended to rotate the disc both clockwise and counterclockwise so that the brushes can "comb" the grooves in both directions.
Some users see the major limitation of the machine in the absence of an aspiration drying system.
Of course you cannot expect much more at this price, however the advice is to rinse the discs with distilled water (absolutely avoid running water!) In order to favor the detachment of the particulates.
This operation is recommended especially if your discs SONO several years old and have accumulated a lot of dirt.
Some audiophiles use two Knosti machines to speed up the washing process. The first filled with cleaning LIQUIDO and the second with distilled water for rinsing.
