    Description

    Unique piece handcrafted by a Ye'kwana artisan new with tag.
    The basket measures about 5 3/4 inches (14.5 cm) high x 6 inches (15 cm) diameter across at the top x 7.5 inches (19 cm) across widest point.
    The ye'kwana inhabit the depths of the jungle in the Caura River Basin and other tributaries of the Orinoco River in Venezuela, particularly in Bolivar and Amazonas state. They are a friendly, discreet people and possess a magic-religious relationship with life.
    This Basket was handcrafted in Minñato fiber woven by artisan Ye'kwana Luz Maria Garcia of the Caura River Basin, Edo. Bolivar, with beautiful design and colors achieved through the fiber dyed with plants.
