Powered by a single Samsung Smart Inverter compressor, the Samsung Free Joint Multi outdoor unit matches to both the Neo Forte High Wall or Slim Duct series indoor units with individual capacities of 9, 12 or 18,000 BTU with total capacities ranging from 18,000 - 36,000 BTU.
Why Free Joint Multi?
Because of Samsung's Smart Inverter control, efficiency of the outdoor unit is enhanced depending on the number of indoor units and the temperature setting. When only one indoor unit is used, power is saved, resulting in a smaller electricity bill. When all indoor units are used, high-powered operation achieves comfort quickly in all rooms. With the Free Joint Multi, the maximum pipe length is 100 feet for two units and a total of 225 feet for four units. The maximum difference in height is 49 feet. Thus, the Free Joint Multi is ideal for installing indoor units on multiple floors. Also if You want to air conditioning in multiple rooms without having to waste a lot of space for the condensing unit. This is where the Free Joint Multi comes in. The condensing unit is slim, so you don't have to worry about it taking up a lot of space. You can also connect up to 4 indoor units from this single condensing unit, each independently controlled from one another.
