A nostalgic look at days-gone-by entitled "Gum Vendor" by renowned artist Randy Souders. This print is personally hand autographed by the artist (NOT by an 'autopen' or other mechanical device).
The scene features the front of an old country store. An antique gum vendor (i.e. slot machine) is prominently displayed on the porch outside the front door. Just exactly why it s sitting outside is a mystery.
These devices were early attempts to circumvent gambling laws by dispensing a piece of gum with each pull of the one-armed bandit. You'll note the Rexall Drug door push, the Ex-Lax thermometer and the Beech-Nut chewing tobacco
advertisement on the wooden bench. As with all his work, you'll want to look for the artists' trademark "Tom cat." This print will be the perfect addition to any traditional, gambling, rural nostalgia or Americana collection!
