    Description

    Available is this Vintage Costa Rican (likely) Pre-Colombian Reproduction Indigenous Chorotega Tripod Effigy Pot. This handmade pottery piece measures approximately 7" tall. I lived in Costa Rica in the early 90s and collectors were able to buy pieces like this one, but I think they are getting harder to find. This might also be from southern Nicaragua since the tribes in that region were similiar. Overall, the pot is in good condition for its age. As might be expected there are scratches and a few place where red slip has rubbed off. There is one spot with actual scratches and there is some slip chipping along the rim in one area. All of these flaws add to making the piece look old. Please see all pics for condition as they serve as part of the description and there are no returns.
