    Description

We found this item at an Estate Sale in Victor, Montana and from what we understand, it was thrown by someone hunting on horse back at a running animal and would tangle up its legs and trip the animal. There are three rocks wrapped and sewn in skin on the end of the braided raw hide. Evidently this type of hunting tool was originated in South America. Thats just what we were told.
Later the fashionable "Bolo Ties" were developed using the same type of rawhide braiding.
It is 28" long and the biggest rock is about 1 1/4" in diameter.
