all of my books are VERY OLD and have 100+ years of wear to varying degrees
good plus condition....
for its age:
boards -
very secure, stains to the back cover...but it looks much better in person
textblock
- pages very secure
outer joints
-  very good
spine
- ends are pretty good, it looks like the spine was glued to the textblock  -leaving a divot all the way down - see last picture
tips
- very good
inner hinges
-  very good
pages
- generally very clean - just a few spots
writing
- there were pencil scribbles that I tried to erase but you can still see them a bit - on the ffep, rear paste down, rfep, and the bottom of the title page -picture 10 is the rear paste down -it is the worse

this book is very old and
may have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke]
- I have found that
dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference!
some of my books get sold right away so
please consider using this trick before deciding to return it!
My nose doesn't work like it use to
so the old book smell doesn't bother me.
